Since opening Generations Dental in January 2017, Dr. David Tartaglia has been dedicated to serving the Boone County community and its surrounding areas with exceptional dental care.

Dr. Tartaglia’s journey in healthcare began at the age of 15, driven by a deep passion for science and a commitment to positively impacting people’s lives. He earned both his undergraduate and dental degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Further honing his skills, he completed a surgical internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Certified by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Tartaglia holds surgical privileges and serves as a consultant for several esteemed healthcare institutions, including Mercy Health Systems Javon Bea Hospital, OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, and UW Health Swedish American Hospital.

He believes in a comprehensive approach to dental care, tailoring treatment options to meet each patient’s unique needs. He aims to achieve and maintain optimal oral health by considering both the functional and aesthetic aspects of dental care. This philosophy allows him to develop long-term plans that ensure the health and longevity of our patients’ teeth.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Tartaglia enjoys staying active through golfing and working out. He is passionate about playing the guitar, attending concerts, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.

Dr. Sreynoch Hun is a dedicated dentist with a passion for oral health education and personalized patient care. She prioritizes open communication and strives to create a comfortable environment for all her patients. Dr. Hun enjoys building strong relationships with her patients, addressing their dental concerns with a gentle touch, and valuing their feedback to enhance the quality of care.

Dr. Hun earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. Her commitment to continuous learning keeps her updated on the latest evidence-based dental techniques and technologies.

Dr. Hun’s practice areas include cosmetic restorative dentistry, endodontics, simple extractions, prosthodontics, and implants. She has developed expertise in aesthetic dentistry and CAD/CAM technology. Additionally, she has significant experience in pediatric dentistry, focusing on effective communication, anxiety management, and educating children and parents on proper oral care.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Hun has held leadership positions such as Vice President of Xi Psi Phi. She is also dedicated to community service, volunteering for organizations like the Kids’ Community Dental Clinic, Special Olympics Special Smiles Chicago, Heal Elgin, and CDA Cares. Her contributions have been recognized with several honors and awards, including the Inside UCSF and APIASF scholarships.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hun enjoys hiking, exploring different cuisines, traveling, and cooking. She is proficient in Khmer. With her expertise, commitment to continuous education, and patient-centered approach, she is dedicated to positively impacting her patients’ oral health and overall well-being.
